Campaign Terms & Conditions

  1. The organiser of the usage campaign is ABC Banking Corporation Ltd, (the ‘bank’) whose registered office is located at WEAL HOUSE, Duke of Edinburgh Avenue, Place d’Armes, 11328, Port Louis.
  2. The campaign will run from 31 January to 30 April 2020 (both dates inclusive).

Eligibility

  1.  The customer of the bank must hold a valid UnionPay debit card.
  2.  The customer must be a Mauritian citizen and/or resident and be at least 18 years old to participate in the campaign.
  3. Employees of the bank are not allowed to participate in this campaign.
  1. How to participate:
    For each cumulative amount of Rs 500 spent for any Point-Of-Sale (POS) transactions and online purchases with the UnionPay debit Card, one lottery number will be allocated to the participant.
    ATM withdrawals will not be considered for the draw.
  1. The prizes per winner are:
    1st Prize: A trip for two persons to South Africa (2 air tickets in Business Class + hotel transfer + pocket money + accommodation – 4 nights + fully paid tour package for 4 days).
  1. The draw will be conducted at the Mauritius Turf Club under the supervision of the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) on 06 May 2020. The results of the draw will be published in the newspapers.
  2. The decision of the bank for the draw is final. No correspondence will be entertained.
  3. No alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash and are personal to the winner.
  4. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 and will not be disclosed to a third party without their prior consent.
  5. By participating in this campaign, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The dates of travel, air tickets and accommodation as defined by the bank are not negotiable.
  7. By participating in this campaign, the customers/participants are accepting the fact that the bank may use their details for its own personal marketing services.
  8. The bank reserves the right to cancel the draw and to amend or change these Terms and Conditions at any time, for whatever reason by giving reasonable notice to the customers/ participants through the usual channels of communication. The decision of the bank on all matters relating to or in connection with the draw is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
  9. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Mauritius. The courts of Mauritius shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.

How to participate?

  • From 31st January to 30th April 2020, win one (1) lottery number for each cumulative amount of Rs 500 spent for purchases.
    For example:
    #1 Rs 200 + Rs 300 = Rs 500 (1 ticket)
    #2 Rs 600 _ Rs 1000 = Rs 1600 (3 tickets)
  • The draw will be conducted at the Mauritius Turf Club under the supervision of the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) on 6 May 2020.

1. Is this offer valid for all UnionPay cards?

The Card & Win campaign is run for ABC Banking UnionPay debit cards including the UnionPay Classic and the UnionPay Diamond cards only. ATM withdrawals will NOT be considered.

2. Who can participate to this campaign?

Participants should be Mauritian citizens and/or residents and be at least 18 years old.

3. How will the winners be notified?

The results of the draw will be published in the newspapers following the draw on 6 May 2020. Authorised persons from ABC Banking Corporation will also call the winners.

4. How will I receive my lottery ticket number/s?

Participants will receive their allocated lottery ticket numbers by email.
